FIX CALIFORNIA proposes using the low threshold of the ballot initiative process provided by the California constitution to proffer permanent, structural changes to the legislative process in the nation’s most populous state. FIX CALIFORNIA devolves power from a central government in Sacramento that has gone off the constitutional rails to the 58 counties giving local elected leadership, which is easiest to engage for local residents, ultimate governing authority by majority vote.
Americans who care about liberty, personal property rights, small government and legislative sanity understand that the system in the once Golden State is broken. Sacramento will not fix Sacramento and continuing to operate “as usual” attempting to reinstall constitutional, executive, legislative and fiscal sanity through elected officials is the definition of insanity. Simply put, standard political operating procedure in California is not working! However, a local-level, people’s based solution can un-do the decades of damage caused by reckless legislators; FIX CALIFORNIA is that solution.
